Frequently Asked Questions, about the RDP – RBV:

Q:  Can I send an email to John Manimas?  RDP?  RBV?  Yes, but…

A:  Go to CONTACT John Manimas, and please keep in mind that the RDP has only volunteers and we do not want to contend with a storm of long emails.  Please write your questions or messages in 1 to 3 lines, and do not send images, attachments, links, or lengthy text.  Please ask permission to send your resume or lengthy ideas or comments, or additional content or attachments.  Any content that is questionable will be screened as "junk" by our email filters.  If you send junk you risk being blocked from sending anything further.  Note that we do not pester you with advertising or requests for donations.  Donations to the John Manimas Campaign ARE NOT tax deductible.  We need volunteers to help get the John Manimas write-in campaign registered or certified in the purple states and the west coast states.

            Thank you for your understanding.  Make America Responsible Again.

Q:  What is the Real Democracy Party and the Revolution by Vote?

A:  The RDP and RBV are not exactly the same thing.  The RDP is the political party organization that supports the write-in presidential candidate, John Manimas, and the RBV is the public, crowd-sourced voter project that could revolutionize our elections system, make it democratic and permit the development of new political parties to compete with the two entrenched political parties [Republican and Democratic] controlled by the American nobility.  For more information, see the (Four Lethal Flaws) of the two-party system, which is not authorized by law.

Q:  Is the RDP and RBV the same thing as the John Manimas Campaign.

A:  No.  The John Manimas Campaign is legally established with the Federal Elections Commission (FEC) and the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) as the only Campaign Committee that is authorized to receive contributions and disburse expenditures in support of the write-in candidate John Manimas, and in support of the unique RDP platform of Elections Reforms that is the true purpose of the write-in campaign.  The write-in campaign is actually intended to act as a referendum on the two-party system.  Contributions to the John Manimas Campaign are not tax deductible.

Q:  Why bother with this elaborate plan?  What is supposed to be accomplished by all this paperwork and bureaucratic labor?

A:  The true and original reason for this plan is to provide an option for non-voters to participate in our 2020 election (and future elections) actively by casting a ballot for elections reforms and against the two-party system.  It is a kind of referendum and a kind of protest vote, EXCEPT that it could be made far more effective than a protest vote IF responsible citizens in every state join in to make the write-in campaign official.  If RDP chapters are formed in many or all of the states, and the write-in candidacy of John Manimas is made official in each of those states, then the write-in votes cast for John Manimas will all be officially counted and could have the effect of awarding electoral votes to John Manimas.  Any voter can do the research in minutes.  Since 1900 (or before) American elections include only about 60% of those eligible to vote.  The other 40% do not vote, and when asked why, they say because they do not want to vote for either Republicans or Democrats.  They believe the system is corrupt, and their vote would make no difference.

Q:  Who cares if John Manimas is awarded electoral votes?  Is that really possible?  And what would the result be if he did get some electoral votes?  Could he possibly win the election for the office of president?

A:  Actually the 40% who do not usually vote could elect John Manimas, or another candidate who is neither a Republican or a Democrat, to the office of president.  This is true because 48 of the 50 states (not Nebraska or Maine) award ALL of their states electoral votes to the candidate who wins the plurality (the most votes, but not necessarily more than 50%).  Over the past 120 years (or 30 presidential elections) the 60% of voters who actually vote split the two-party votes almost evenly in each state.  The winner usually wins by a small margin, often less than 5% of the popular vote.  That means the winner might get 35% of the popular vote, and the loser might get 25% of the popular vote.  Anyone can see, by simple arithmetic, if all of the 40% of non-voters showed up to vote for John Manimas, or any other candidate, that candidate would receive 40% of the popular vote, which is obviously the plurality, and win that state's electoral votes.

Q:  How does this work, really? For example, what happens if (John Manimas) gets 30 electoral votes?  How does that produce any positive change?  What good does that do?

A:  Most important is that if the non-voters in any state work together, John Manimas will get some electoral votes.  Also, because of the craziness of the two-party system and the wild craziness of what is happening in 2020, the Democratic candidate might not get the 270 electoral votes needed to win.  This creates a very dangerous situation, automatically.  With no phase one winner (See Constitution and 12th Amendment), the election of the president moves on to phase two, where each state's congressional delegation (more or less same as each state), gets ONE vote.  Because the Republican Party controls at least 26 state governments, Donald Trump would be re-elected.  That is bad to begin with, BUT even more important is that Donald Trump could be re-elected by receiving FAR LESS than 40% of the popular vote, because the small states with small populations would have the same single vote as the larger states such as California, New York, Illinois, Michigan, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Florida, Texas.  This means, for example, the less than one million people in North Dakota, and the slightly more than one million people in Montana, get the same ONE VOTE for president as the 39.5 million people in California, the 21.5 million people in Florida, and the 29 million people in Texas.  This is going to make the people in the larger states EXTREMELY unhappy.

These are the stakes people.  If you persist in expressing your dissatisfaction with American politics by not voting, this is what is going to happen.

Answer continued:  What is the good to come of the write-in plan?

If John Manimas gets any electoral votes, he will donate them to the Democratic Party candidate, but only in exchange for ELECTIONS REFORMS.  Specific election reforms, listed here on the RDP website, that would enable the development of new political parties that could grow and win public support to compete with the two large, entrenched parties (Elephants and Donkeys) of the American nobility.  This way those non-voters who become active voters would actually GET SOMETHING FOR THEIR VOTE, instead of the same old experience of voting for a fast-talking candidate who breaks promises after the election.

Answer continued:  What good is this plan if we can only get a few electoral votes?  That is, we MIGHT get a few electoral votes?

            Think about this:  40% of the voters who do not usually vote, that is 95 to 100 million voters in 2020, could all register to vote before September, as no-party voters, and just SAY that they are thinking about voting against the two-party system.  What do you think would be the effect on the selfish, rich tyrants who control our lives through the two-party disaster?  Do you think they might start listening to our demands for elections reforms?  No more voter suppression!  No more throwing out ballots from poor neighborhoods!  No more votes for third parties helping the other side.  No more Gerrymandering in order to capture your vote and own it.  No more blue states and red starts, or blue towns and red towns.  We could all be FREE no-party voters, not owned by any party.  No party could say that they know how you are going to vote, no matter where you live.

Q:  But what is the use of this project, when it is unlikely that all 40% of the non-voters will be motivated to actually vote, and they might vote for either the Democrat or the Republican?  The RDP candidate will not get any electoral votes, and will have nothing to trade for elections reforms.

A:  The use of this project that is always a good idea is that it gives the 40% of non-voters something to vote for other than only the Democrats and Republicans, or the third parties that are rendered ineffective by the two-party system.  The non-voters want a better system, more choices, less corrupt, says the research polls.  So then, John Manimas and the RDP stand for the best elections reforms that many voters want.  Even some Democrats and Republicans want these reforms:

            1)  Ranked-choice voting;

            2)  Fusion voting (small party platform but support a major-party candidate);

            3)  Party coalitions, between a major party and minor party, to have platform combinations that are supported by a larger majority, not just 51%, but 60%, or 70% of the people voting.

            4)  No more voter suppression.  Denial of registration or discarding of a ballot can occur only when decided by a judge.  No discarding of a long list of "ballots" listed on a single page of votes, meaning every single vote for every single office is a "ballot."

            5)  Voter registration is automatic and/or provided by the state agency at state expense.  Voting is treated as a sacred fundamental right.  Just like you HAVE TO pay taxes, the state HAS TO register you as a voter.

            6)  MANDATORY VOTING.  The RDP and John Manimas are the only party and platform that demand mandatory voting.  WHY?  See next question.

Q:  Why do John Manimas and the RDP demand mandatory voting?

A:  To keep a very important Constitutional promise.  The Constitution says that every person is guaranteed a trial by jury of peers if accused of a crime (Sixth Amendment).  Therefore, jury duty is mandatory in every state.  If any adult citizen is called to serve on the jury for a criminal trial, they cannot say "No, I'm busy."  There are a few reasons to be excused, but actually very few, and recently state laws have strengthened the jury duty requirement.  You must serve even if you need child care or if you are in a wheelchair or in treatment for a medical condition.  SO, did you know that there is another Constitutional guarantee?  Under Article 4, Section 4:  Section 4:   The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government, and shall protect each of them against Invasion; …  Think then, how does the federal government meet that obligation?  How do we get our guaranteed republican form of government?  The word "republican" is from the original Latin "res publica" which means either "rule by the people" or "the rule of the people" (not rule over the people).  Does this not require majority rule?  It cannot mean minority rule, and our history shows that the two-party system consistently protects minority rule and makes majority rule impossible.  Our "two-party" experiment conducted 30 times over 120 years has yielded the same result every time.  That is scientific evidence, a scientific conclusion:  in order to have majority rule, we have to retire the two-party scam and everyone who is eligible to vote must vote.  That is simple logic.  Therefore, in order to keep this Constitutional promise, the federal government must pass laws that have the effect of protecting majority rule.  Mandatory voting is the best way to protect majority rule.  That is why John Manimas and the RDP demand mandatory voting.

Q:  How do I learn about the candidates?

A:  You have VoteSmart.org, Vote411.org, HeadCount.org, VoteUSA.org, Ballotpedia.org, AND your state and county elections boards usually provide voter information.  Watch out for the junk information, like candidate Jackside Buttonhole recently visited the Ladies Auxiliary for Bright Flowers and said "I like familes, puppies, children, and apples, … and Oh Yes, I almost forgot:  I love God."

            VoteSmart is the best online source that shows you what each candidate actually says and actually does.  You can always search the name of any candidate whose name you know.  Or, you can search the office that is elected in your town, state, state legislative district, or your congressional district.  Face it, when you want to know the color of a rock star's underwear, you search for it and find it.  You can learn how to vote if you want to.  Will something bad happen if I don't vote in 2020?  Yes.  Read history.  Read German history.
