Member Oath or Affirmation to Real Democracy Party

(First Version, June 2017)

 

I (name) agree with all other members of the Real Democracy Party that as a member I will support the primary goal of offering to the American voters an opportunity to vote against the two-party system and for truly democratic elections by means of a multi-party system including vote donation and political party coalitions between major and minor parties.  I support the public policy position that in a real democracy there must be more than two political parties and the various parties compete for the honor and duty to exercise the power to govern.  The political parties, however organized and whatever their size and scope may be, do not compete only for ideological influence or public support.  They compete for the power to govern, and following a fair and accurate election each party should exercise government power in proportion to the votes they received.  I pledge that I shall always be honest in my support for the Real Democracy Party and its principles and policies, and I shall not do anything that subverts or damages the work of the party or its public interests.  If in the future I lose faith in the party, I will resign my membership.
